Anxiety

Anxiety is a fear response that puts individuals in a state of fight, flight or freeze.  When these symptoms show up at an acute level leading to avoidance, isolation, panic, racing thoughts, and lack of sleep, it has a major impact on our ability to function at work, school or in relationships. I will work with you providing evidence-based treatment to help with symptom reduction so you can get back to the activities of daily living and learn how to thrive, not just survive.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma affects individuals as a pervasive pattern of distress that creates hypervigilance, self-doubt, low self-esteem and fear. Trauma has your brain stuck in the past unable to be in the present moment, robbing individuals of their opportunity to live stress free. We can work to look at the patterns in your young life that are no longer serving you so you can live a life of freedom and empowerment.

Depression

Depression is a crippling condition that has physiological, psychological and social effects that cause a person to feel disconnected, constant fatigue, low mood, suicidal ideation, lack of motivation and physical pain. Let’s work together to develop step by step interventions to get your routine back on track and learn new skills to live a life of joy instead of sadness and defeat

Couples Counseling

Couples both married and committed carry with them the modeling they learned from their own parents, experience with trauma and past relationships. That left-over baggage clouds couples ability to develop their own language of communication, trust, honesty, respect, intimacy, safety, and partnership. We will work together to examine the “dance” happening in your relationship and cultivate ways to get you back in sync with one another.
