Greetings!

My name is Fabiana Vega, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist.  I have been doing counseling for over 20 years.

My passion for counseling started in 6th grade where I was nominated to be a peer counselor and I saw the power of how communication, active reflective listening and conflict resolution could shift relationships.  I grew up in a chaotic household and studying psychology helped me to develop compassion, empathy and understanding where there was profound pain.  My own experience with trauma, depression and anxiety helps me to understand clients from a lived perspective.  I combine a humanistic, solution focused and transpersonal lens of therapeutic expertise to help my clients make a transformational shift in their lives.  I provide holistic interventions to treat the whole person addressing physical activity, nutrition, spirituality, sexuality, gender identity, socialization and mental health wellness.  I am a certified domestic counselor and have worked in various clinical environments with diverse populations including: youth in special education, youth in group homes, foster care, youth with gang involvement, suicide preventionist with incarcerated persons, program director of a drug and alcohol treatment facility, clinician for a partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient treatment program, as well as working with children, teens, couples, LGBTQI+ persons, polyamory, geriatric mental health, veterans and active military personnel and individuals with severe mental illness.  My master’s degree is in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Health and Corrections from Santa Clara University (Go Broncos!).  Let’s get started today in writing the next chapter of the rest of your life.

YOU CAN HEAL!
